Simple Ways to Stay Healthy and Stress Free

Today people seem to always be on the go.  Read the following tips to keep you healthy and on your toes so you can handle whatever comes your way.

Eat like clockwork – It’s been found that people who eat 5-6 small meals per day, find themselves less hungry though out the day and don’t over eat.  If you’re feeling stressed, and food is your weakness, opt to eat fruits and veggies opposed to junk food. 

Get some shuteye – People who get eight hours of rest a night, have the capability of being more productive the next day.  If you run a tight schedule, turn rest into a priority.  You may find you accomplish more the next day with those added hours of rest. 

Exercise – A great way to stay in shape and keep your health in top shape is to exercise.  Take your children for a walk, ride a bike, join a gym or do a work out at home that works for you.  It a great way to relieve stress!

Spend time with loved ones – Whether you are spending time with your children, friends or family, it’s always nice to be around the ones you love.  Be sure to laugh often.

Relax – Some do yoga, some read books.  Whatever your forte is for relaxation be sure to do it as often as you can. 

Plan – Buy a planner or a calendar and fill it up.  Mark the dates of when bills are due, birthdays, meetings, etc. so you won’t miss an event or due date!  This keeps you on track, relieves stress when you can check out what’s been accomplished and can foresee what’s coming up. 

Try something new – Today time is precious, however you should still make sure to make time for doing things you enjoy, like trying something new.  It could simply be reading a new book, trying a new sport or joining a club.  Whatever it is, it’s always a good idea to expand your horizons.  Live life to the fullest!
